By bus: bus for Varzo, line Domodossola - Iselle. Timetables: www.vcoinbus.it
By car: A26 motorway to Gravellona Toce, then continue on SS33 of Sempione, pass Domodossola and then keep on straight in direction of the borderline (Confine di Stato) and you will soon arrive in Varzo.

Circular itinerary particularly suggestive on roads and tracks.

The route:    

Departure is from Varzo station. Take the road leading to the center of the village, with its beautiful church dedicated to San Giorgio and its medieval tower, then you will go up to Cattagna and from here take the small road going up to the Oratory of Durogna, from here, touching the villages of Casafranchi and Casagrande, you reach Dreuza (an alternative way to reach Dreuza through the asphalted road passing from Coggia). From Dreuza the track continues with numerous bends until Solcio and the great refuge,  Rifugio Crosta. Immediately behind the refuge you enter the track with a few ups and downs leading to alpe Quatè and Alpe Moiero. In Moiero continue on the track that will immediately become asphalted and go down to Dorcia. Then along a few very steep bends you will cross the road for Varzo - San Domenico. From here to Gebbo you can go down along the road or cut the bends along the old mule track passing from San Bernardo. From Gebbo you go back to Varzo along the main road.
