Over the last few weeks the VCO Chamber of Commerce has activated the initiative planned in the new international tourist promotion project.The project, which hopes to follow up on the positive results obtained by 4 stagioni di Vacanza [4 seasons of holiday], aims to start up actions that favour the promotion and commercialisation of the territory's tourism offer.In addition to the Chamber of Commerce, the other partners of the project are the Verbano Cusio Ossola Province, the Verbania Council, The Borromeo Islands Administration, Villa Taranto, Faita Piemonte and Federalberghi Novara and VCO.As a part of the activity aimed at increasing exposure of the territory with regards to travel, holidays, free time and culture, via constant use of the mass media, the project also involves participation at many sector fairs. The biggest events have been chosen for showcasing our territory on an international scale and for making the most of the positive effects of increased tourism.The CMT fair in Stuttgart is undoubtedly one of the major events of the tourism industry and once again this year the Chamber of Commerce will be taking part.This is the fortieth edition of the international exhibition dedicated to various types of tourism, from caravan holidays to cycling, golf and health breaks. It will be held in Stuttgart, Germany from 12th to 20th January.Over the years the CMT fair has grown in terms of the number of visitors (almost 200,000 last year) and will host exhibitors (about 1,500) from all over the world (100 countries), who will present their goods and services.The VCO Chamber of Commerce and project partners will be present at the CMT with its own exhibition space to represent "Lake Maggiore and its Valleys where visitors will be welcomed with the new sales guide for German Tour operators and other informative and promotional material.Participation has also been confirmed for the Holiday Show in Brussels (7-11th February), in collaboration with the Piedmont Region, at the Ferie for Alle show in Herning, Denmark (22nd-24th February), at Map di Parigi (5th-9th March) and WTM in London (November 2008).
