The Villa Menafoglio Litta Panza, an elegant building on the hill of Biumo Superiore, hosts a contemporary art collection assembled by Count Giuseppe Panza from 1956 to the present day.
The count, a lover of contemporary American art, invited famous artists to transform the rooms of the villa into works of environmental art, based on the use of neon lighting and interpreting a number of modern issues such as war.
The “Empire Salon” houses a collection of pre-Columbian and African art; the former stables are a venue for temporary exhibitions.
Open from Tuesday to Sunday (closed on holidays), from 10.00 to 18.00.
