For the second year running the tourist destination "Lake Maggiore, its valleys and its flowers" will be present at the prestigious International tourism fair Ferie for Alle in Herning, Denmark. The event, open to tour operators and the public and dedicated in particular to the camping holiday sector, will take place at the MCH-Messecentre from 20th to 22nd February.

Taking part in this event is one of the operations aimed at adding value to the territory`s resources as a part of the project "Arte ed Ambiente: alla scoperta del territorio", developed in collaboration with the Novara and Varese Chambers of Commerce, and with the main public and private associations involved in tourist promotion in the Lake Maggiore area. The main objective is to promote the territory around Lake Maggiore, including the Ossola Mountains, Lake Orta, Novara and its hills, Varese and Locarno. For 2009 the project forsees participation at numerous sector shows and only the best have been chosen to help promote our territory on an international scale, helping to increase tourism. The decision to take part at the Herning International Fair is specifically aimed at increasing the steady flow of tourist from Denmark in recent years.

The show will be open from 20th to 22nd February with varied opening times: Friday 20th February from 11am to 7pm, Saturday 21st from 9am to 6pm and Sunday 22nd from 10am to 5pm. Ferie for Alle is the place where hundreds of thousands of wealthy Danes looking for holidays and fun meet exhibitors (745 in 2008) from throughout Denmark and over 40 countries from around the world. The 62,000 m2 of exhibition area have been divided into 5 theme based sections: Abroad, Camping, Denmark, Danish Golf and Outdoor.

Last year, Lake Maggiore was located in the camping area, at stand H6238 and was visited by 40,000 people from a total of 60,903 visitors. At Ferie for Alle the area dedicated to camping is the largest event of its kind in Denmark and is an annual must for Danish campers. New to the show in 2009 is the outdoor area - exhibition Area K - with new solutions for nature and open air lovers. Here, visitors can try out some of the sports on offer, including canoeing, diving and climbing.

To promote the cultural and landscape beauty of Lake Maggiore and its surroundings, the stand will give visitors the Sales Manual in English, containing general information on the Lake Maggiore area and detailed information on certain areas within the territory, as well as additional promotional material on the areas surrounding Lake Maggiore, the Ossola Mountains, Lake Orta, Novara and its hills, Varese and Locarno.

In March the destination Lake Maggiore its valleys, its flowers will take part in three international shows in France, Germany and Sweden: Salon Mahana (Lyon 6-8 March), ITB (Berlin 11-15 March) e TUR (Gothenberg 19-22 March).
