From Bellinzona, take A13 to Locarno.

From Stresa, take A-road no. 33 in the direction of Fondotoce, then A-road no. 34 to Cannobio. Go past the border and take 13 to Locarno.

Locarno town is transformed for the Moon & Stars festival, ten days in July dedicated to music by some of the top names in international pop and rock.

This genuinely international festival features ten or so concerts by top stars, in the spectacular setting of Piazza Grande, packed with thousands of people. Though it has only been going for only a few years, this Locarno event has already established itself as a regular stop on the tours of international singers and bands, and many are already referring to the festival as the “Montreux of the southern Alps”.

Moon & Stars offers a great opportunity for music fans to see and hear artists of international repute, performing in ten or so concerts and animating the entire town with top quality sound.
