About
A four star luxury hotel and Michelin 2-star restaurant, Villa Crespi was built in Moorish style in 1879.
The house is topped by a minaret and surrounded by a large park that slopes down towards the lake. The restaurant has three rooms plus a veranda. These four distinct areas intercommunicate via Arabesque doors creating a play of alternating environments and a continuum of privacy in which guests can choose a table according to their preference and humour. Long white linen tablecloths create a fresh and clean sensation, enhanced by the simple elegance of slender white candles and exotic flower arrangements.
With its view over the lake, the veranda offers a charming dining location amid the vegetation of the ancient parkland surrounding the villa. The varying shades of light that illuminate the interior of the restaurant through the windows create fairy-tale sensations at different times of day. The alternation of natural shades and hues between the days and seasons enriches and continuously renews the view from the veranda.
The chef’s main offerings include: “ravioli di scampi crudi colatura di pomodoro e caciotta fresca” (raw prawn ravioli with tomato sauce and fresh caciotta cheese), prawn risotto, “trancio di branzino crema di castagne e tartufo nero” (sea bass fillet with chestnut and black truffle cream), “semifreddo al frutto della passione con chips di patate blu” (passion fruit semifreddo with blue potato chips), “triglia di scoglio” (striped surmullet), aubergine caviar, passion fruit, pineapple cannoli, white chocolate with fruit and mango, burrata cream, endives Parthenopean style, marinated anchovies and maize wafers, plin ravioli Parthenopean style... with Bread, Love and Fantasy.
