Begins tonight the 53rd edition of the Stresa Festival.

The international music festival hosted by the "Pearl of Lake Maggiore" and born in 1961 by Italo Trentinaglia da Daverio, gathers, since 1962, some of the most important musicians and annually attracts a large audience of experts, enthusiasts and curious.

There are three music programs scheduled for the 2014 edition of the Festival:

• Midsummer Jazz Concerts: mini festival of improvised music from 24 to July 27, 2014
• Meditazioni in musica: prelude on the Baroque from 19 to 20 August, 2014
• Musica in movimento: final event of the festival, from August 22 to September 6, 2014
