In preparation for the 100th anniversary of its establishment, which will occur in 2023, the Vigezzina-Centovalli Railway is preparing to welcome its travelers with many surprises for this second part of the 2022 season.

Thanks to the "Vigezzina no limits" proposal, tourists have the opportunity to travel for one or two days along the Italian route between Domodossola and Re by getting on and off the train freely to visit the beautiful Vigezzo Valley.

Another interesting offer is the one that allows you to reach Verdasio station by train from Locarno and from there to take a cable car trip up to Monte Comino, or, on the opposite side, reach the small alpine hamlet of Rasa.

Not only that; culture is also at the center of these beautiful innovations. The Vigezzina-Centovalli Railway crosses territories rich in traditional legacies: from the Civic Museums of Domodossola which house precious art collections, to the Marguerite Arpdi Foundation in Locarno with its contemporary art exhibitions and its original temporary exhibition devoted to the Arp Clouds, an installation thanks to which the clouds appear as the train passes through the majestic garden of the villa.
