After the great success of the Foliage® train, the Vigezzina-Centovalli railway is preparing for its winter "change of clothes": the landscapes that its trains cross every day will give travelers new glimpses of some of Italy and Switzerland.

Trains with a long history behind them – the celebrations for the centenary which will fall on November 25th, 2023 will be officially presented on November 25th – connect Switzerland to Italy every day, a journey that will continue even during the skiing season.

From the beginning of December, the blue and white trains of the Vigezzina-Centovalli railway will become the ideal means for reaching some of the most popular Christmas events in this portion of land between Lake Maggiore and the Piemonte Alps: from the Santa Maria Maggiore Christmas Street Market, among the largest in Europe, to the Locarno on Ice event and to the Domodossola street markets.
