Programme

The scheduled exhibition in Vercelli brings together over thirty sculptures, some monumental, made available by the Manzù Foundation, the Copernico Studio, and important private collectors, as well as drawings, paintings, and posters.

The itinerary ranges from the 1940s to 1990, a year before his death, where an emblematic piece of evidence appears, namely the large sculpture of Ulysses, the eternal symbol of knowledge.

The review, held mainly in the two locations of ARCA – the exhibition center inside the former Church of St. Mark and in the former Church of St. Vittore, highlights the relevance of a great master of plastic art by following the different themes that characterise his poetics. Thus, the choice of works allows us to appreciate the female portraits, the still lifes (just think of the Chair with Lobster from 1966) as well as the famous Cardinals, his most famous series that he began in the Thirties.
