Or maybe you’re rather see the greenest valleys in Italy from the soaring vantage point of a hang-glider? Or enjoy walking through the Novara hills, a countryside rich in art and gastronomic delights?
Visit the portal www.illagomaggiore.com to find out how to make these dreams come true, without having to worry about hotels, meals, visits or anything else. All you have to do is put yourself in the hands of one of the highly professional incoming agencies in the Piedmont and Lombardy areas of Lake Maggiore – the destination “Lake Maggiore, its Valleys, its Flowers”.
Starting today, the service “Special offers” is operative on www.illagomaggiore.com, in collaboration with the incoming tourist agencies of the Piedmont and Lombardy areas.
These special offers are advertised on the home page, in Italian and English, under the two sectors of “Active holidays” and “Art and Culture”. The agencies taking part in this initiative are offering packages encompassed by these two themes.
All the agencies are committed to advertising on the site a certain number of special offers throughout the year, in a variety taking account of the season, the theme, the kind of visitor catered for (e.g. families with children). The portal will thus present special offers which are continually new and different, including in the low season.
The initiative has been launched as part of the project “Lake Maggiore: Nature, Environment and Culture”, in support of leisure tourism, which the Chamber of Commerce has organised in collaboration with the Verbano Cusio Ossola Province, the Comunità Montana del Verbano, Verbania Town Council, the Distretto Turistico dei Laghi, the Chamber of Commerce of Novara, the Local Tourist Association of Novara, the Tourist Agency of Varese, the Hoteliers’ Association of Novara and VCO provinces, Confcommercio VCO, the Botanic Gardens of Villa Taranto, the Administration of the Borromean Islands, the Lago Maggiore Holidays Consortium, Lago Maggiore Conference, the Association of Small Traditional Hotels and Mountain Hospitality, Fiori Tipici del Lago Maggiore.
The “Special offers” are aimed at interesting potential customers, encouraging the marketing of products and tourist services, introducing visitors to the attractions of less well-known locations, and helping to promote the image of Lake Maggiore as a destination for cultural and active holidays.
