From 7 to 9 June the Verbano Cusio Ossola Province will be taking part in EIRE 2011 (Expo Italia Real Estate www.italiarealestate.it), the international event devoted to territorial marketing, which will take place in the new exhibition complex at Rho-Pero (Milan), and which is increasingly being seen as a workshop of ideas and a permanent network.

The province’s participation is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of the VCO, along with the Town Councils of Domodossola, Omegna, Stresa and Verbania, the Provincial Council, and the Lake Maggiore Tecnoparco.  It will be located in the collective stand of 200 sq mt (pavilion 2–F3139, G32-40) of Sistema Piemonte.

EIRE is the first Fair in Italia devoted to the real estate market, and is an essential occasion for operators in Italy and abroad, for public administrations and professionals working in the sector, as the figures show:  470 businesses and institutions present, as well as over 13,000 professional operators from over 50 countries, over 300 accredited journalists, and more than 100 conferences, seminars and events at the stands.

This is a showcase for business, a chance for professionals to compare notes, an investment attraction aimed at developing and upgrading the territory and its towns,  and an opportunity for major investors, banks and developers to meet, and get to know Verbano Cusio Ossola as the ideal location for quality of life, research and tourism.

At a time when it is more than ever essential to encourage investment and support the attractions of an area, the aims of participating in EIRE 2011 – shared by the promoting bodies – are to raise the profile of the VCO as a business destination and attract capital for development projects.  Our participation in EIRE for the sixth consecutive year is an expression of a model of governance that brings together the major public and private institutions of the territory and guarantees the strategic unity of its main players, with the common aim of attracting investment and economic partnerships.

The presence of the Verbano Cusio Ossola Province at EIRE 2011 underlines the points in favour of a sustainable development of the territory: the high quality of the environment and the landscape, a stone’s throw from the industrial heartlands of Italy and Europe; the Lake Maggiore Innovation Hub, with public funding and skills available to businesses for investment in the sector of renewable energy and upgrading the energy efficiency of the area;  Lake Maggiore IN LAB, the network of laboratories, research and innovation centres and technology transfer, which can help interested companies to invest in the VCO Province and enhance their innovatory competence.
